La la la.

Do you remember that Wolf Parade song “Modern World”? That song is great but this is mainly how I feel about it: come onnnnnnnnn. Must you drain the last bit of blood from our dusty old corpses. We don’t need a response to “Modern World” that’s about how you don’t like the modern world. “Modern World” seems like it was pretty much already a response to people not liking the modern world, not to put words in anyone’s mouth, and how long are we expected to go back and forth about this. Forever? If my friend told me he wrote a song called “Modern World” that sounded like that Wolf Parade dirge and went, “I’m not in love with the modern world…I’m not in love with the modern world,” I’d be like: man, come on. I’d pretend I was dying and collapse on the ground.

So that’s what I think about a song from 2003 and another song from 1976.
