The Unexpectedly Musical George Sanders
Watching “All About Eve” for the thousandth time, one is struck anew by the immortal genius of George Sanders. Truly, a man who was born in Russia, died in Spain, was married four times, and had the most delicious male parts (a George Sanders character would almost certainly raise his eyebrows meaningfully at such a phrase) in not just “All About Eve,” but also “Rebecca,” is worthy of our eternal respect.
Oh, and he apparently recorded a 1958 album titled “The George Sanders Touch: Songs for the Lovely Lady,” which you are now enjoying, ideally.
