Your July-August ‘Pinup Roundup

Welcome to your monthly roundup of Hairpin reader meetups throughout the globe. This list was compiled by Sea Ermine, who invites you to email her your meetup details for July.

Chicago: We’re meeting up TODAY (July 25) in Wicker Park to picnic and watch Jurassic Park. The movie (brought to you by the Chicago Parks Department) should start around 9 p.m. but we’ll be there from 7 p.m. onward. Details about how to find us will be provided in the comments. NYC: This Friday, July 26, is the July book club and ‘Pinup at Lolita Bar. The book club portion will begin at 7 p.m. with a discussion of Ursula K Le Guin’s The Left Hand of Darkness and the ‘Pinup will follow at 8 p.m.

We’ll have another ‘Pinup in late August, most likely on the 30th. For even more fun, our K-Town Karaoke night will be next Friday, August 2. If you’re interested in Karaoke, please join the event on our Facebook page or email our lovely host Chrysopoeia at [email protected] so that you can be added to the reservation.

DC: Like reading? Join the DC Hairpin Book Club! This month’s meeting is TONIGHT at 7:30 p.m. at Teaism Penn Quarter, where we’ll be discussing Swamplandia.

Nashville: Make some new friends at the August 16 ‘Pinup at 6:30 p.m. at Rosepepper. Look for Julie, she’ll have a sign!
