Shamir, “I Know It’s A Good Thing”

Following up the excellent “If It Wasn’t True,” here’s a new track from Las Vegas native Shamir, a 19-year-old in possession of a wildly great androgynous voice that ghosts all over this song’s funk beat and plunky, unhurried LCD Soundsystem bones.

Elsewhere, I highly recommend the debut album from Sylvan Esso, which is now streaming on NPR: it’s cohesive, delicate, heady, full of jams.
