Some teens are into Morrissey, and some teens are into Jonathan Richman. Just kidding, lots of teens are into all kinds of musicians and you can totally like both Jonathan Richman and Morrissey. What a ridiculous thing to say! What I mean is that Morrissey is sad and Jonathan Richman is happy. I could have just said, “Jonathan Richman is happy.”

Anyway, he is. And this song is so true! Today was the first day of the rest of your life. Tomorrow, same thing. You’re never too old for anything except whining to your ex about what an asshole you are and holding your breath to get high.
