One Direction’s Week in Review: 10/17
The band is on a break, but the boys aren’t.
On Wednesday Liam Payne posted a greyscale picture of himself in front of a wall tagged with the phrase “love feels best.” He captioned the photo “#lovefeelsbest.” Earlier that day, he confirmed that he was back in Los Angeles for “writing trip take two.” He posted three more photos of himself over the course of the week, plus a photo of him and Anton Zaslavski, the record producer and DJ known as Zedd, from Intrigue Nightclub in Las Vegas; Payne joined Zaslavski Saturday for his set, singing along to songs including “Hotline Bling” and “This Is What You Came For.” During the latter, he did the classic Payne move of momentarily miming guitar strokes on the microphone while holding it near his crotch.
On Thursday, Niall Horan couldn’t sleep. On Friday, he appeared on the television program Celebrity Gogglebox with Olly Murs to raise funds for Stand Up To Cancer. On Saturday, he watched a Phil Collins special on television. On Sunday, he was the surprise guest at the Radio 1 Teen Awards; he opened the show by singing “This Town” to a packed house at Wembley Stadium. Afterwards he was interviewed on stage by show host Nick Grimshaw and confirmed that he heads to America this week to record the rest of the album.
Harry Styles was not spotted this week. But he did offer some proof of life, liking a few Instagram posts and following the band Warpaint on Twitter.
On Saturday, Louis Tomlinson posted a selfie captioned with a thought bubble emoji. He was not otherwise seen this week.
