Joni Mitchell, “In France They Kiss On Main Street”

The Hissing of Summer Lawns is my favorite gray-day album, as well as my favorite album title (second, maybe The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste). And I think this song — well, a lot of Joni Mitchell songs, really — captures the emotion specific to being in transit, not good or bad but suspended.
