Woman Mistakes Hip-Hop Music for Hostage Situation

When an Illinois man “butt-dialed” his wife while driving home from work, his wife, upon hearing the hip-hop he was listening to in the car, became convinced that a bunch of criminals were holding him hostage, and had a SWAT team sent to the middle school where he works to save him. An official from the school explains:

He was listening to music and he had, I don’t know, hip-hop…or music like that, where there were lyrics that were gangster-like…So there were lyrics on the radio as he was driving home, and she listened to it and became concerned.

The SWAT team arrived at the school “armed with automatic weapons and wearing bulletproof vests,” as they do, and spent three hours searching for the offending hip-hop artists, until eventually “the man was found safe at home by police.”

“The incident caused quite a stir in the usually quiet Winnetka neighborhood,” the Chicago Tribune added. Maybe that’s all the woman wanted! Just for something to goddamn finally happen. And for it to be over in time for Glee, which it was.
