Stress-Free Valentine’s Day

by Bonnie

Someone has thoughtfully compiled a whole bunch of recent research on stress into a handy six-point guide. Just for you, I’ve further simplified the tips. Wallet-sized! Feel better, be better, and keep Valentine’s Day stress free. By doing things right for a change.

1. Chocolate. But eat the dark stuff even if that’s not the kind you like.

2. Do something you love. Just whatever, assuming all the things you love doing are wholesome and healthy like exercise and prayer. No this one can’t also be chocolate, even the right kind.

3. Throw a tantrum. Don’t hold feelings inside! Tell him he got you the wrong kind of chocolate. And that thing he wants you to do? That’s not something you love.

4. Pet your pet. Oh, your dog left the room during your tantrum? Just like your boyfriend? Um…

5. Get more sleep. There you go, just take whatever you need to take to let this night end. In the morning, you can all talk about what happened, what went wrong. Remember: we don’t hold feelings in anymore.

6. Hold your feelings inside. What about #3?! That’s so not even fair. Is this a prank of some kind?
