Another Day, Another Acronym We Can’t Live Without

Over at the New York Times, Ben Schott calls our attention to a new breed of consumer called a LOHAS. It’s an acronym used to describe a person who leads a Lifestyle Of Health And Sustainability. I guess it’s someone who shops at the farmers’ market?

Anyway, like DIPE before it, LOHAS is an acronym that’s sure to be useful in so many scenarios. (“I’m not going to that party; it’s going to be filled with LOHAS’s drinking biodynamic chardonnay.”) Just be careful not confuse it with a LOHAN (Lifestyle of Horniness and Narcotics).
