Twitter: A Place To Remember

Twitter gets a bad rap because it’s full of nazis and it’s going to be why we die, but it’s also so funny and I love it. : ) The microblogging platform offers a few things that are not rape threats: jokes, memes, a place to advertise yourself so people give you work or a full-time job offer or maybe just money with no strings attached. Plus, it is a nice place to remember things with your friends.

Speaking genuinely, my two favorite things to remember are when Bob Costas had pink eye and when Scarlett Johansson recorded an album of Tom Waits covers. Hahahaha. Ahh. What a joy. Like a hot cup of coffee on a cold morning, or a large gulp of martini just whenever, taking a moment to remember these occurrences takes a knife to the pillowcase of life’s sadness, throwing its sadness feathers into the wind in a writerly metaphor.
