Sweatshirt: A Poem
A sweatshirt poem.
It’s 39 degrees outside, and inside it’s cold, too
Well, not that cold, but cold enough, so what are you to do?
Pace around with t-shirt on, or long-sleeve henley cut?
Just your skin and a thin layer, warming you somewhat?
Nah-uh, no, I have to stress, there is a better way
It comes in colors light and dark, but mostly comes in gray
It’s soft outside and softer in, espec’lly when it’s new
Before first wash the inside part is softer than fondue
The sleeves are long, the fit is large, the collar reaches neck
Ask the store, “Do you take card? Can I write you a check?”
It’s warm and soft and good to wear, alert, alert, alert
For this cold season, treat yourself to a nice gray sweatshirt
