Movies Garry Marshall Did Not Direct But It Feels Like He Did

Garry Marshall died. 🙁 But he had a good life.

Herbert Hoover once said, “Older men declare war. But it is youth that must fight and die.” Damn, he was right. But do you know who else died? Garry Marshall. He directed Pretty Woman and created “Happy Days,” and then on July 19 he died, and someday you’ll die, too, which is fine.

In his eighty-one years of life, Garry Marshall directed Pretty Woman (like I said) along with Exit to Eden, The Other Sister, Runaway Bride, The Princess Diaries, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, Raising Helen, Georgia Rule, Valentine’s Day, New Years Eve, and Mother’s Day. But doesn’t it also seem like he directed these movies?

  • My Best Friend’s Wedding
  • Four Christmases
  • Monster-in-Law
  • Failure to Launch
  • The First Wives Club
  • 13 Going on 30
  • Sweet Home Alabama
  • The Wedding Planner
  • The Prince and Me
  • The Other Woman
  • Nancy Meyers movies
  • How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
  • Bride Wars
  • My Best Friend’s Girl
  • Maid in Manhattan
  • The Proposal
  • Because I Said So
  • The Family Stone
  • Morning Glory
  • Two Weeks Notice
  • The Wedding Date
  • Made of Honor
  • 27 Dresses
  • Leap Year
  • Hope Springs
  • Something Borrowed
  • Must Love Dogs

He didn’t, though. And that’s just fine. Rest in peace, Garry Marshall.
