Today Is The 12th Anniversary Of The Big Blackout
by Alexandra Molotkow

And you know what? I’m not celebrating. The blackout was garbage. I don’t know about you, but I appreciate modern amenities such as public transportation and functioning traffic lights and I dunno, water for under $5 a bottle. Oh and getting to see my boyfriend who’s leaving for video game school in two weeks for our agreed-upon sex date instead of going to bed at 8pm because it’s too dark to even read A Clockwork Orange.
That’s how I spent the blackout, moping, not dancing under the stars or whatever.
Anyway, let us give thanks for functioning utilities.
