Karin Krog, “Mr. Joy”

Karin Krog is a Norwegian jazz icon and on June 30, Light in the Attic will be releasing a Grand Compilation of her work from 1963 to 1999. Hooray!

What a beautiful song this is about a vibrator.* Personally, I have never had this sort of relationship with a vibrator, which has always felt to me like an unnecessary enhancement, like a pair of magnetic gloves that can fetch your keys from the bag but are mostly unwieldy. I can honestly say that I like this song better than most vibrators.
