Weekend Roundup / Open Thread

This was a pretty spiffy week around the Hairpan: we considered our summer skin, started Girl in a Band, kept our professional pants on, told some old Serial jokes, took ourselves to horny jail, figured out ways to be sad, went on a friend date, defended our man Kanye West, built a fire, went to a wedding, asked Baba Yaga, interviewed Arabelle Sicardi, gathered aphrodisiacs, reviewed a naughty film, looked for the middle-classism in teen movies, and asked ourselves about the most important person in our lives.

Ladies killing it: Sara Lautman in Jezebel, our friends at the New Inquiry created Crushbot, and Amy Rose Spiegel was interviewed in Racked.
