Open Thread / Weekend Roundup

Let’s close out this week with Charlotte Pickles dropping some knowledge on us (yes, I have started rewatching Rugrats, and yes, it totally stands up). How are you? I have been using my Clarisonic for two whole weeks and I am not a stunning model yet so I am pretty confused??? Haley bought seaweed shampoo. We are #ladies.

This week!! We found comfort in Law & Order, read the book by the dude with two dicks, DREAM CASTED OCEAN’S ELEVEN: LADIES’ NIGHT, looked for a man, caught up on Vogue, checked in with Baba Yaga, improved pizza, and interviewed Frances McKee of the Vaselines, a sword swallower, Mari Ruti, and Ava DuVernay.

I know we’re all still sleepy from returning from the holiday, but find some inner strength (looking at a picture of Zadie Smith always helps me) and read our buds: Monica Heisey on Miranda July’s new book, Anupa Mistry on Jeff Chang, and distinguished alumni Jia Tolentino scaring me out of getting an IUD. This weekend, let’s all make a hearty lasagna and watch the Golden Globes! What could be better?
