Ask Baba Yaga: How Long Should I Wait For My Friend?
Transcript after the jump.
Dear Baba Yaga,
I’m falling deeply for a close friend who is about to go through a divorce. She has feelings for me as well, but she is nowhere near a place where she could start a new relationship. I want to wait for her, but the longer I wait the more certain I am that I am lost. Should I wait for her, or should I walk away? Where would I even go?
BABA YAGA:
She is walking out of one world & into another. & in between she is, where the rules of earth do not hold. ; You are lost because you hold a tether to the lost, & the tether is slight & fragile,a thread that could break from weather or wind or time or because she chooses to cut it. ( When will she deem to come down, & will it be to you that she goes? It is not . for you to know. If you go, go back to the earth that you loved (if you did love it). But in truth if you go or stay is no difference — the only matter is if you look to the earth where you are or look up to the sky where she wanders, barely visible to you, so far you know not what are all her changes. For you have not gone anywhere, & the earth is still yr home.
