Meshell Ndegeocello, “Good Day Bad”

Meshell Ndegeocello, immortalized for life for providing the soundtrack to Love & Basketball’s penultimate scene and (for her many other talents), has a new album, Comet, Come to Me, out today. Here’s “Good Day Bad,” which is all melancholy and still, somehow, soothing: “I’m surprised every sunrise/ the earth would have me back.” The album’s on Spotify and YouTube, and NPR has some live cuts from a May 30 show in Los Angeles for you, too.
