Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves, “Merry Go ‘Round”

This CMT special is a gift to the world (look at that impeccable neon-cactus set decor; look at their purple glitzwear!) and the contrast between the two singer-songwriters’ vocal timbres is particularly interesting live: Kacey’s voice is like a narrow, silky unspooling ribbon, Katy’s like a remote-control Mack truck. The duo also did “Roar,” but this one sounds much better!
