Sharon Van Etten’s new album approaches, and the music video for “Taking Chances” is full of tarot cards and shadows and keyholes and fingers and light, recreating (via Stereogum) “the opening sequence from the 1962 Agnes Varda film Cleo From 5 To 7, with Van Etten standing in for Varda.” In a similar vein: SOAK’s beautiful cover of “The Mother We Share,” folksy and melancholy and slow.
