Happy Rex Manning Day

Say no more, mon amour: Empire Records came out in October 1995, and today, April 8, marks the 18th annual Rex Manning Day. HuffPo did the important work of recasting the movie last year, and it’s pretty on-point, save for the fact that Debi Mazar is eternally irreplaceable and her character will just have to be removed from the film altogether. That goes for Ethan Embry, too. Otherwise: Damn the man. Save the Empire.
