Seamless and Netflix Are Killing You Says New Article

I’ve written before about probable upcoming female-centric trend pieces and there’s a new one out today! I’ll save you from reading the article, but it’s very sweet and helpful and entitled “8 Reasons Why New York Women Can’t Get A Husband” and it’s advice from your great-aunt that Princeton mom Susan Patton’s new book Marry Smart. It gives helpful advice no one’s ever said before like women should wear make up and not ignore their biological clock! But then she said something that negates her entire premise:

But Seamless, FreshDirect and Netflix are making you lazy and, if Chinese is your takeout of choice, fat. “Everybody works hard, and at the end of a long day it’s great to order in tapas and binge on a ‘House of Cards’ marathon,” says Patton.

Tapas?! She thinks people order in overpriced Spanish-style tapas for one? That has literally never happened. We go out for tapas and order in Thai when we watch House of Cards. Nice try, Patton.
