Cormac McCarthy’s The Road: The Picture Book

Via Slate’s Brow Beat, a look at Jerry Puryear’s picture-book-ification of books like The Road and The Corrections. Let’s revise, Wikipedia: “a post-apocalyptic [but uplifting] tale of a journey of a father and his young son over a period of several months, across a landscape blasted by an unspecified cataclysm that has destroyed most of civilization and, in the intervening years, almost all life on Earth [but also left room for lots of lovely adventures and mishaps that teach wonderful morals for children aged 6–10. Cannibalism not included. Great for bedtime.]” Seems like a nice story! The rest are over at Misguided Paeans.
