Haerts, “Wings” (Shlohmo Remix)

To my ear, Haerts’s “Wings” was one of the very best pop songs of 2012 (here’s the original, it’s catchy as anything), and Shlohmo’s new remix is a remarkable flip. Slowed down and chopped up, the gorgeous, buoyant top line becomes ghostly and funereal; what sounded like hope in the first is now pining.
