Two Songs from Hoodlem, the Musical Lovechild of James Blake and Lorde
Our pals at the unerring (and photogenic) record label Neon Gold recently alerted me to the mysterious, as-yet-anonymous Melbourne producer Hoodlem, who mixes all the murk and simmering discipline of James Blake with the unfiltered sense of melody we love in Lorde. Hoodlem’s only got two songs out right now, but they’re both real good.
