Abortion Restrictions in Texas Ruled Unconstitutional

“New abortion restrictions passed by the Texas Legislature are unconstitutional and will not take effect as scheduled on Tuesday, a federal judge has ruled.” Judge Lee Yeakel’s order is a final one, and this is a huge victory for the Texas women that have stayed on this cause hard (and will still contend with the standing ban on abortions after 20 weeks, and requirements that abortion clinics meet the standard of surgery centers).
