Appetite for Destruction Mini-Playlist: Tove Lo, Banks, Laura Mvula

In honor of Breaking Bad’s series finale (anyone want to talk about it??), here are three songs with serious dark sides, all released sometime this past year. Tove Lo sounds, addictively, like No Doubt meets Sad Ke$ha; Banks is all gritty oblivion on “Before I Ever Met You,” and Laura Mvula’s otherworldly, looping wails on this SOHN remix are suggestive of the best/worst way time you were ever hooked.
