Do You Suffer From Nomophobia? Probably.

A British market survey suggests that we now live in fear of living without our cell phones:

Some 54 per cent of those questioned said they experienced ‘nomophobia’ — the fear of losing signal, running out of battery or losing sight of their phone.

The survey also found that 42 per cent of people took their phones with them to the beach on holiday, while 28 per cent of people said they would check work emails while abroad.

Women, the survey suggests, are more likely to check their cell phones while out on dinner dates, and more likely to suffer from nomophobia than men in general. I often find myself looking frantically for my cell phone while holding my cell phone, but I did not know there was a word for it. (We could just call it generic millennial unease, really.) Look, we all have our problems.
