Moody & Mute Mini-Playlist: Friendzone, Forest Swords, 65 Days of Static

Good morning! Here are three cloudy, radiant, epochal instrumental tracks for a Monday where certain people behind certain computer screens may have not actually said any words out loud yet. Friendzone is a Bay Area hip-hop production duo best known for A$AP Rocky’s “Fashion Killa,” and their new track “Poly” will appear on their forthcoming debut LP; then there’s a deep cut from 65daysofstatic, the mid-2000’s purveyors of seething, beautiful instro whose “Radio Protector” was an old favorite of mine; finally there’s the new track from the experimental British artist Forest Swords, whose “Weight of Gold” has been attracting lots of buzz.
