At the BBC, live coverage of and excellent commentary on the verdict (and sentencing to come) from the Bradley Manning/Wikileaks case. Manning has been found guilty on 20 counts and innocent on the charge of “aiding the enemy,” and although military prosecutors stated that Manning would not have faced the potential death sentence if convicted on the latter charge, it’s as good a time as any to remember that this is “the first time in U.S. military history that a soldier [faced] the aiding the enemy charge for giving information to the media for the public good.”
