Save the Mermaids!

It’s for this reason that I urge you to look deep inside yourself, to your own inner, aspiring mermaid (or merman), and maybe fork over some cash and — if you’re New York-based — head to Brooklyn on June 22. AND/OR you might want to head out this weekend to see Amanda Palmer’s benefit show at the Bowery Ballroom, where she promises to “dress appropriately” and play some “mermaid-appropriate songs on the ukelele.” AND/OR you might want to share generally your mermaid love with the world at large, and experience the tremendous, intense relief of no longer having to hide your truest heart.

Your inner mermaid will thank you.
