Friday Bargain Bin: What to Do With Your Allowance This Week

Hershesons Clip in Bangs, $28.17 (were $49.71)
My new thing is to consistently, regularly waiver between recommending everyone quit being wimps and get bangs, and telling everyone to get rid of their bangs. These should come in handy if you’re confused. Fill your cart with this hair bow!

Pig of the Month “Fire Up the Grill — BBQ Classics”, $139.99 (was $198)
We just got back and already want something that costs waaaay too much, upon first glance. But this is a bunch of food and all the work (good ribs take forever!) is done. There’s enough to feed yourself and at least seven friends (who shall give you $20 apiece). Now all you need is a grill, a pool, a yard, all the beer, all the sunshine, SPF 50 in one of those spray cans because otherwise you know you’re not gonna be good about that, none of the humidity, to know how to play Euchre, portable boombox, and you’re all set. Easy.

Translucid Frame Sunglasses, $9.99 (were $34.99)
Funky frames help make it feel like a party, too.

David Stark Wood Slices Dinnerware Set, $31.99 (was $40)
Only the salad plates are left, but luckily those are the coolest ones because they kind of look like spider webs, which can then remind you that you don’t own any of these. On second thought, :(.

Ash Neon Suede Pumps, $60 (were $200)
I bet these are comfy as shit. They come in hot pink too.

Openwork Sweater Tank, $39.95 (was $78)
Throw this over a bikini top and, yes, Edith, get it caught on all your snaggy rings and bracelets in the process. Snags just make it looks wiser, though.

Monserat De Luca Spoon Bracelet, $52.50 (was $75)
No, you don’t have to spend fifty bucks on this, but you could if you are too lazy to make your own. You know who’s not too lazy to DIY a really good idea of something I found on “sale” but it was still a hundred bucks at Anthropologie? This person over at Etsy:

Vintage Farberware Percolator Table Lamp, $95
And since that’s one of a kind, here’s another one.

Pieces Asymmetrical Stud Earrings, $4.14 (were $11.60)
Lopsided or mismatched earrings are the jam. Why? Because if you tell yourself they’re the jam, that allows you to resurrect all the single ones in your jewelry box.

Quill Cheese Knife Set, $14.95 (was $28)
No joke, I use my cheese knives like three nights a week. Because I eat cheese for dinner four nights a week. The pointy one is also surprisingly good at popping the hats off strawberries.

Yumi Kim Silk Lace Cinderella Dress, $228 (was $348)
You could hide the drawstring behind a sparkly belt and wear this to a wedding. (Yours, don’t be a jerk.)

I’M NOT EVEN TELLING YOU WHAT THIS IS.
