The Very Best Featuring K’naan, “We Ok”

To start the day off with an air-conditioning-induced sore throat some summery pep, here’s a collaboration between the reliably excellent collective known as The Very Best (a.k.a. Malawi-born, London-based singer Esau Mwamwaya and the DJ/production duo Radioclit — Etienne Tron and Johan Karlberg) and Somali-Canadian rapper K’naan. The song will appear on The Very Best’s upcoming album MTMTMK, which is due out July 17. The Very Best is the very best, and in case you’re not familiar, here’s more proof (“Warm Heart of Africa,” a collaboration with Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig), and here’s even more (“Kamphopo”).
