How to Relax, According to The January, 1964 Issue of Calling All Girls

This magazine suggests that sometimes, in order to succeed, you need to put down the books and chill for a minute! You need to relax! You must read this advice in context to understand the tone (exclamation point!), but here is a cheat sheet of the relaxation tips presented within! Print it out and tape it next to your desk!
1. Go to a funny or light movie — nothing dramatic!
2. Go bowling or go watch other people bowl(?).
3. Watch TV, but only cartoons or comedies — nothing dramatic!
4. Listen to music. If the beats get you too pumped up, try a ballad.
5. Play your musical instrument.
6. Paint.
7. Paint a mental picture of yourself on the beach.
8. Breathe!
9. Smile!
