And the Winner of the 2012 Deviled Egg Pageant Is…

Emerson Beyer and Michael Bruno’s annual Deviled Egg Pageant and White Trousers Garden Party went down last weekend in Durham, North Carolina, and there are photographs and descriptions of it online, if you’re interested in learning more and/or fueling your deviled egg-dreams/nightmares/fantasies/cosplay. The winner was the semi-traditional Miss Smoke and Fire, who was made with bacon and came with a bourbon margarita, while another notable competitor was Miss Steph la Pod, a pretty and octopus-inclusive young entrant who came with “lemony iced tea.”
