I convinced myself John was a good man, the man for me, and a man who just needed a little more time to get to the point where throwing out his ex-girlfriend’s Disney slippers and coffeemaker wasn’t torture.
Presumably the original slipper-owner is out there somewhere enjoying the piece, possibly over a cup of coffee brewed at home in her own, newish coffeemaker.
