So Long, Farewell

Well, everyone, this is my last day at the Hairpin. It’s been a great summer, and I promise to come back and bore the shit out of you occasionally with meditations on how, now that I have a child, I finally understand the meaning of love and self-sacrifice, unlike people without children, and that I no longer care about frivolous things like…sharks and Doctor Who. Or, maybe that won’t happen, and I’ll have normal things to say, like, about aliens and moisturizer.

Which is what I said to Choire, and then he said “you won’t remember any of this. you’ll just be like MY BABY LOVES CARRRROTTSSS.”
