Him, or “that guy I went on one date with three months earlier”: hey, if you’re having a lazy Saturday and would like to hang out some more, let me know.
Me: I’m actually meeting up with some friends, so I don’t think I’ll be able to make it.
Him: Sounds good, Angie, looking forward to next time.

Apr 9, 2011 11:37 a.m.
Him: hey, I’m in Greenpoint and going to eat lunch soon if you’re free and would like to join me.
Me: Hey, unfortunately I can’t. Headed to the city to meet up with a friend.
Him: no prob, another time!

Six months later, or two weeks after tropical storm Irene:

Him: Katrina?
Me: No, it’s Irene.
Him: sorry, cleaning out address book. nice to hear from you anyway Irene.
Me: Oh you don’t remember? We met two weeks ago…I blew through town.
Him: that’s right! back in addr book.
Me: Oh great! My friend Nate might be in town soon, we should all meet up.

Him: Nate kicks ass.

Me: You think so? I worry he’s a bit long-winded.
Him: he tried to get us both naked. that counts for something.
