Is This a Word for Sweet, Carbonated Beverages Where You Are?

The regional soda-pop-soft drink-Coke question has been done to death, obviously, but this may actually be a new one.

Does anyone else call it exclusively “mix” where you’re from, or is this confined to the Belleville-Foxboro region of Southern Ontario?

And, if you DO call it “mix,” does that mean you’re probably an alcoholic?

In related questions, exactly how long do you have to live in Canada in order to acquire an ability to swallow “Bloody Caesars” without retching? Because eighteen years doesn’t do it.
