The Definition of a Friendship Bracelet

I was under the impression that a true friendship bracelet has to be handmade and given to a friend, or to someone who might hopefully become a friend (depending on the quality of the bracelet), although I’d happily accept any of the [more-expensive] friendship bracelets in this slideshow of pre-made friendship bracelets. Especially that first one.
