Some Guys Are in the Business of Cheating
Business trips! Does your guy take ‘em? Well then, statistically speaking, he might be cheating on you (or at least considering it) according to a new Newsweek/Daily Beast poll:
32 percent have thought about cheating on their spouse on a business trip
27 percent know someone who cheated on his or her spouse on a business trip
21 percent have had the desire to cheat on their spouse on a business trip
8 percent have actually cheated on their spouse on a business trip
6 percent have paid for sex while on a business trip
Oh, wait, only eight percent have actually cheated? Is it me, or, all things considered, is that not that high of a number? I mean, yeah, it sucks if your husband falls into that group, and it’s kind of scary/sad that a third of men have thought about it. But thinking about something isn’t the same as doing it. And there’s always the chance that woman are just as bad — or worse! — in the business-travel cheating department. Didn’t you see that movie Up in the Air? Plus, don’t plenty of husbands cheat from the comfort of their own homes? So let’s forget about getting all worked up about this. There’s no reason to forbid our menfolk from traveling to exotic and distant lands where all of the women are irresistible, like Dallas and Cincinnati — unless your husband is a high-powered politician or the head of an important international organization, in which case you’re screwed.
