The Girl Beer
This is Carlsberg’s supposedly female friendly ad for Copenhagen, a new beer that’s “a real alternative to white wine and champagne,” and which we’ll drink because it complements our drinking face:
“We can see that there are a number of consumers, especially women, who are very aware of design when they choose beverage products. There may be situations where they are standing in a bar and want their drinks to match their style. In this case, they may well reject a beer if the design does not appeal to them.”
Also, poking around on Carlsberg’s PR site (why, what are you doing?) reveals they’ve invented a nonalcoholic new drink: BEO, which is “not a beer, not a cider, not a soft drink,” and looks terrible. Carlsberg, what’s going on over there?
