Lara Logan Talks About Surviving Her Brutal Assault
In February, journalist Lara Logan was viciously attacked and raped by an angry mob of Egyptian men while covering the uprising in Tahrir Square. Last night, in an incredibly brave move, she went on “60 Minutes” and told the entire story of her assault and miraculous survival. The violence she endured at the hands of the men is shocking, but what’s most powerful is the honest way she walks us through how she survived — from her thoughts during the attack to being rescued by a group of Egyptian women to later being reunited with her children and deciding to go public with what she’d endured. While it’s disturbing and graphic (and possibly NSFW — if nothing else because it will leave you in tears at your desk), it’s worth watching every minute of it.
