Hairpin Meetups: NYC and LA

OK, let’s do this! The Hairpin’s New York get-together will be next Thursday, May 19, at The Magician, from 7 to 10 p.m. or so. Cake will be provided, and drinks are cheap. Come by! We’ll be in the back.

Bonus Hairpin party: Matt Gallaway and Natasha Vargas-Cooper will be giving a reading in LA on the same night — May 19, 7 p.m. at Book Soup — after which they’re heading to The Parlour Room (at 8:30 p.m.), where they’ll be joined by Awl contributors/Hairpin pals Maria Bustillos and Christian Brown (who might’ve already been there the whole time!), and everyone else should go there, too.
