Tina Fey Sends Subliminal Messages?

Here’s an interesting theory. In 2004, Tina Fey went to Washington and spent a day with John McCain. Life took a photo of them for their cover, and McCain eventually had that photo hung up in his office. Sounds harmless enough, right? Not when you fast forward to 2008.

“Lorne Michaels always thought that the reason that John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate, despite the fact that he had only just met her, was because he’d been looking at the photo of him and Fey for years; he felt an immediate comfort and familiarity with the Alaska governor who looked strikingly like the comedian.”

Yikes. Did Tina Fey accidentally cause the Sarah Palin virus to be unleashed on our great nation? Is she patient zero or whatever? Yes, they do resemble each other, but not that much? Hey it’s Friday afternoon so let’s allow ourselves to think about it for a few seconds longer than we should and maybe get a little steamed at McCain before we forget about it and go back to drinking our leftover, flat Royal Wedding champagne.
