New Music: Neon Hitch, “Silly Girl.” Also, Who Is Neon Hitch?

Neon Hitch (her actual name) is a rising electropop musician from London who won’t say how old she is, and whose first single, “Get Over U,” made some waves back in January (see below for the video; head over here for a free MP3). She just released another song, “Silly Girl,” and although it’s apparently not an official single, it was produced/co-written by the big-name team of Benny Blanco and Switch (also responsible for tracks from Britney, Ke$ha, Santigold, and Beyonce), and will likely appear on her debut album.
She sounds a little bit like Robyn, but the overall effect is filthier, twitchier — more Robyn mixed with Nelly Furtado. I’m not sure how much I like it yet, but I’m currently on my sixth listen, and it’s growing on me. Thoughts?
