The Sartorialist: the Movie
by Liz Colville
Scott Schuman, aka The Sartorialist, is the subject of this little Intel documentary in which he admirably declares that he hopes to continue doing street photography for the rest of his life. The filmmakers follow Schuman as he patrols the streets of NYC looking for unsuspecting stylish people. One woman featured in the film is skeptical about having her photo taken until Schuman tells her who he is, then she giggles, and he takes the picture, and all is well in the world of street photography again. Schuman says people tend to say the Internet has “homogenized” everything, but he sees it in a more positive light, calling it a “digital park bench.” [Via]
