Joanna Newsom Performed “On A Good Day” on Letterman
by Liz Colville
This is a depressing song, but can you tell? The melody won’t let you, and before you know it, it’s over. Newsom, who just finished up a huge tour, played this lil’ gutwrenching number on Letterman last night, adding some new harp details to its middle. Before she began, Dave said her set, featuring stuffed peacocks, looked “like Sarah Palin’s den…do you do your own taxidermy?” But he was sold by the end of it: “That was lovely…beautiful. Harp, Paul!” [Via]
