Oh, Did They Discover Aliens?

Yesterday NASA dropped a very casual press release:

NASA will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 2, to discuss an astrobiology finding that will impact the search for evidence of extraterrestrial life.

No big deal!

(Jason Kottke, who looked into the five conference participants’ fields, guesses that the finding might be the discovery of arsenic on one Saturn’s moons — arsenic being linked to photosynthesis, meaning there may already be giant alien plants on Saturn, and that there may in fact also be little people inside the plants, like with their arms hidden inside the leaves and their faces hidden inside the flower, etc.!)
